The prototype of a printed circuit board or prototype of a PCB is a board used to connect electronic components to ensure the proper functioning of PCBs before production in larger quantities. The PCB prototype uses definite traces or electronic signals derived from copper components, which are laminated on incombustible material.
When the PCB prototype is completed, the electronic components are merged to form what is called prototype PCB assembly, and is usually done by soldering. Thereafter, testing is done in various ways to make sure everything works properly.
Prototypes of printed circuit boards have a conformational coating that is usually made of materials such as epoxy, polyurethane and the like. The coating is applied to prevent corrosion or leakage currents and short connections due to condensation.
